(Serves 4)
If using cooking apples you may want to peel, if using normal eating apples then no need to peel and in fact the peel contains a lot of the goodness.
4 medium apples, cored and roughly chopped,
2 tbsp. of raisins
20ml of water
2 tbsp. of CherryActive (optional)
2 tsp. cinnamon
4 tbsp. walnut pieces, roughly chopped (optional)
16 tbsp. of plain natural yoghurt or coconut or organic soy yoghurt
1. Put the apples and raisins in a pan with the water and CherryActive (if using).
2. Add cinnamon.
3. Bring to boil, then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes.
4. Allow to cool then stir into yoghurt.
5. Scatter with walnuts.
Keeps well in the fridge.
